What is the main objective of the Aquarium-Museum? To dedicate itself to a triple mission: serve scientific research, illustrate teachings and spread knowledge.

An overview…
- open all year-round, every day, including weekends and holidays, non-stop from morning until evening: approximately 3000 guaranteed open hours each year.
- access for people with reduced mobility thanks to the large elevators, a special entrance, level floors…
- organisation of either classic or thematic guided toursover 650 per year – carried out by scientists capable of answering most questions asked by visitors. These tours are adapted to all types of public and thus fulfil our aim to promote knowledge, learning and discovery.
- organisation of full days of discovery and / or access to scientific culture for the visitor by combining activities in partnership with other Institutions.

- the didactic installations in the premises: informative panels or notes, quadrilingual identification cards of the most remarkable species, showcases presenting various objects related to the theme being developed…
- the permanent availability of the representatives of the different departments who can provide information on demand, help to achieve all levels of school work, take charge of student interns, produce articles, commentaries, interviews…

- the identification of animal species, taking in certain species permanently or temporarily according to our possibilities, carry out water analyses, guide the public towards other specialists…
- the boarding of turtles during the holidays. The Aquarium-Museum arranges the boarding of authorized aquatic turtles (Florida turtles) during their owners’ holidays, thus guaranteeing the necessary and adequate “room and board”.
Terms:
- maximum length of stay one month per turtle;
- 1,25 € per day (25 € per month) per turtle;
- accommodation contract;
- subject to the availability of the aquaterrariums.
- the lending of naturalised specimens, under certain terms.
- the analysis and sale of popular science books on the animal kingdom and the aquatic world.
